This is a personal decision, but women age faster than men, and most men date girls 1, maybe 2 years younger than them while in college.

A common approach seems to be, step 1: graduate. Step 2: marry college sweet heart. Step 3: 20 years later, divorce for a younger, more virile spouse model.

Shouldn't you just mess around for 20 more years and then find your wife? Seems like a better financial decision.

Or am I just way too shallow?

hi. considering ur point of view, i think its better to marry sm1 younger bt i dnt think the man gonna think the same. koz since college its already in his head that he shud marry some1 as soon as he finishes the studies. the situation about divorcin after 20 yrs is a lot to debate about koz nt all cples wana divorce after so many times passed together.

PS: ur welcome to refute my argument> ty

Well Epheveman... if you were to fool around for 20 years..think of the age you will be then. Would you be happy to start having children at that age?  Myself I think life points us all in certain directions and there are some who probably should never get married as they love to have the variety which comes from having many relationships. If this seems right for them then fair enough. Life has a habit of throwing two people together regardless of age.  My husband was 10 years older than myself and it was a fantastic marriage which although has ended, did not end because of a divorce.  Life cannot always be controlled. Boy meets girl..girl meets boy..they fall in love and "voila"  They either want to live together or get married..simple! Most of the time..they don't want to think about finances etc..they just want to be together there and  then!

And believe it or not..sometimes an "older" model can be more interesting and sexy than a younger model.. lol but all in all, we are all different with different needs and desires.  Something llke this cannot be "generalised"  Grin
cheers..redhead

Well that step by step process doesn't happen for everyone. Also during the 20 years together they usually have the norm....ya know kids, house, career, etc. Would be kinda odd (to me) to wait, but I don't think your shallow..

to be honest, when it comes to love, age shudnt be a matter or a barrier. why frown upon a relationship were there is mayve 10 yrs between em, they love each other and they arent hurting anyone. just be happy for them
